Types of Single and Multi core copper flexible electrical cables 450/750V
Conductor
Flexible copper conductors are made from high conductivity Copper rods of 8 mm diameter. The rod is drawn to required sizes of fine wires for
the construction of conductors of different areas of cross section. Annealed plain copper conductors used in the flexible cables. The construction
of conductor is also made according to customer specification.
Insulation
'Type A' PVC Compound suitable for a maximum continuous conductor operating temperature of 70°C, as referred in IS:IS:5831/84, is insulated over conductor
by extrusion process with required thickness of insulation and conforms to all the requirements of IS:IS:5831/84.
Identification of core colours:
No. of cores Identification
1 Red,Yellow,Blue,Black,White or Grey
2 Red and Black
3 Red, Black, Green
4 Red,Yellow, Blue,Green
5 Red, Yellow, Blue, Black and Grey
*Note: Other than the colours specified above can be produced against the specific requirements of the customer.
Laying up
2,3,4,5 Multi core cables are laid up with right hand lay in the outermost layer in the sequence of above core colours. Interstices if required
will be covered by non hygroscopic fillers.
Sheath
Single core / Multicore are sheathed with 'Type ST1' PVC compound suitable for a maximum continuous conductor operating temperature of 70°C,
conforming to the requirements of IS:5831/84. Unless otherwise specified the colour of the sheath will be black.
Packing
Single core / Multicore flexible cables are packed in printed carton boxes in standard lengths of 100m. However cables can also be supplied
in longer lengths in strong plywood reels in multiples of 100 mts.
Customer orientation
Against specific requirement and application, JAINSON can offer cables conforming to either customer specification or other National and
International Standards.
Welding Cables Double Insulated, Extra Flexible, Orange and Black Jacket
FEATURES :
Based on VDE 0282 ,IEC 245-6.
Outstanding toughness & durability.
High resistance to cuts , tears & abrasion.
Resistance to oil , solvents and chemicals.
Excellent ozone and weather resistant.
APPLICATIONS :
Welding : Designed for the secondary (high current) connection to automatic or hand – held metal arc welding electrodes. It is suitable for flexible use
under rugged conditions, on assembly lines and conveyor systems, in machine tool and automatically operated line and spot welding machines.
Power : Earthing/return leads, power feeds to electrolytic plating process, Busbar connection, transformers, generators, aircraft servicing
equipments etc.
Welding cables Expoters and Manufacturers of India.
CONSTRUCTION :
Conductor : High conductivity, bare annealed copper flexible conductor.
Sheath : Double sheathed with specially developed thermoplastic Elastomer (TPR/TPE), outer layer is orange coloured.
CURRENT RATING :
The maximum current ratings of flexible welding cables for different duly cycles are based on an ambient air temperature of 25 C and a
maximum conductor temperature of 90 C. The percentage duly cycles for various processes and applications are as follows:
1Automobile Welding:up to 100%
2Semi-automatic welding :30% to 85%
3Manual Welding:0% to 60%
4Very intermittent or
Occasional Welding :up to 20%
VOLTAGE DROP :When total cable lengths in excess of 15 mtrs., are involved , it may be necessary to use cables of larger cross section
to ensure that the voltage drop is not excessive and welding currents are maintained at adequate levels.
